Refund Policy

TL;DR: ChordVox includes a free forever local transcription tier, so you can evaluate the core workflow before purchasing Pro. Once a Pro license key has been issued, the sale is considered final. Refunds are only considered when a severe technical issue cannot be resolved.

1. Free Tier

ChordVox offers a free forever local transcription tier with no credit card required. You can download local models, use basic dictation, and evaluate the core workflow before purchasing Pro.

2. Digital Delivery

ChordVox is a digital product. Delivery is considered complete immediately when the license key is issued (displayed on-screen and sent via email). Due to the nature of digital software and the availability of a permanent free tier, all sales are final once the Pro license is delivered.

3. Subscription Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal. Access remains until the end of the current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of the current billing cycle.
  • If you were charged after intending to cancel, contact us within 7 days for a full refund of the most recent charge.

4. Lifetime (One-Time Purchase) Refunds

  • If you experience a genuine technical issue that prevents the software from functioning and our support team is unable to resolve it, we will issue a full refund.
  • Refund requests must include details of the issue and evidence that you contacted support first.
  • Refunds are strictly not available for reasons such as "changed my mind," "found an alternative," or "purchased by mistake." The free tier exists entirely for evaluation purposes.

5. What Happens After a Refund

  • Your license key will be revoked upon refund processing.
  • Pro features will be deactivated on your next license check.
  • You may continue using the free local version of the software.

6. Chargebacks

If a chargeback is filed with your bank, your license will be immediately revoked. We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback — we're committed to resolving issues quickly.

7. How to Request a Refund

Contact us at [email protected] with:

  • Your order number or email used at purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Any steps you've already taken to resolve it

We typically respond within 24 hours.

8. Payment Processor

All payments are processed by Creem as merchant of record. Approved refunds are processed through Creem and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
